The Mobile App for iOS and Android, or the Terminal App, allows you to record your project times on the go and from everywhere. The app offers you the Time Clock, the team time clock and the QR Code scanner. Via the app, it is possible to make entries as well as view personal hours and holiday reports.
The mobile app is thus not redundant, but complements the use of the TimeTrack app for employees in the field. In order to record time flexibly and regardless of location, the app creates a bridge between the software and your location and you are always synchronized via the cloud.
The Mobile Time Clock works the same as in the Web App, just select the Client, Project and Task, press the Start button and the clock will run until you clock back in or press the Stop button. If you scan the QR Code, these fields will be filled in for you and the clock will start. The next time you scan, stop the clock and the time entry will be saved just as if you manually stopped the clock.
When you take a break, simply tap Pause and the Break Timer will run. If you want to edit the pause timer, tap the steaming cup and you can add or subtract (minus) minutes from the break. The start time can also be changed by tapping on the start time below the timer.
If you want to upload or take a picture, simply tap on the Camera Symbol and the picture will be uploaded. You can also add and enter notes.
One of the things that makes the Mobile Time Clock so special is that your GPS location can be recorded, as long as you have given permission in the app, allowing you to record your location at the beginning and end of the activity. Your exact Coordinates are stored with your Project Time Entry and can be accessed individually for each time entry in the Web App.
Under overview you can track, view and also update your Time Entries while you are on the road. At the top of the panel, you’ll find certain actions that allow you to customize the View, perform Full-Text searches, and export as PDF, CSV, or Txt.
With the right view and the selection of the project with the full-text search, you can create Performance Records on the go and export and send the hours as a report in file form.
To enter project hours via the Mobile App for iOS and Android, go to Overview and tap the blue plus at the bottom of the screen. Select the project and task, your start and end time and enter your pause. You can also just enter the Start Time and Number of Hours and the app will automatically calculate an End Time. If necessary, the Hourly Rate can be adjusted and with a tap on the briefcase, you can enter a Flat Rate instead. Add a tag or create a note and take a picture or select one from the gallery and you can save the time entry.
Under “Show Project Documents” you can view attached Documents from the project, which you have stored in the Project Settings, and upload or take Pictures yourself by pressing the Camera Symbol. If you need the Signature of your client, tap on the writing pen and a field for signing opens on your screen. This signature is saved as a file and stored with the time entry.
On iOS, you can import appointment entries from Calendar and create a record from them. Depending on how you’ve configured this in Settings under Settings > Export, the calendar name and note are imported and exported differently.
