If you want to enter your project times retrospectively, there are several ways to do it.
You click on “New time entry” in the web app, select the Customer, Project, Task, and if necessary the User (if you enter it later for one of your employees), define the Duration From – To and how long lasted the Break.
You can also enter the hour rate and, by clicking on the briefcase, you can make it a flat rate.
You can also add a Note or Hashtag to your time entry and use Text Blocks. This gives you the possibility to filter your time entries even better and more precisely under Reports & Analysis and to find them in the full text search.
When adding project time, you also have the option to add Files such as invoices, schedules, or purchase orders that you can open later.
You can also enter your project time entry directly in the calendar view by using the click & drag function. You do not need to enter the start and end date and time of the activities. Simply enter the task you are working on and save the time entry.
Alternatively, you can add the your working hours via the Mobile App for iOS and Android by clicking on the plus sign below Views, just like in the Web App.
Hashtags help you to mark your time entries even further and more precisely and offer a filter option, especially in the evaluation of the entries. For example, if you want to see all the entries of your #Regular customers or if there was an #Emergency at short notice, these hashtags are perfect for it.
You can create global hashtags under Data Administration > Hashtags or assign certain hashtags to projects, which are then suggested directly when a time entry is made. This way, your employees do not have to search for it and they wont get in the situation to pick up the wrong hashtag. You do this under Data Administration > Projects > select a project and under Project Planning and Performance you will find Add Tags.
The function of the text blocks can be used if you use and have recurring notes so you do not always have to retype everything but simply select an abbreviation. To do this, go to Data Administration > Text blocks > Plus > Search Term > Search Term 2 > Create Content of text block. For a time entry, simply select the text block symbol, enter the search term and the prefabricated text automatically appears in the notes.
