You can fully automate time recording using the terminal app. Just download the app to your Android tablet and fix the device to the wall. Our guide Configuring NFC time recording for employees on a tablet describes in very simple steps how to set up the terminal app.
Employees can clock in and out directly on the tablet. The terminal is directly connected to our web and mobile app, so that all Clockings, whether for Working or Project Times, are immediately visible.
Employees can clock in and out directly on the tablet using NFC/RFID Tags (keycard, key fob, NFC sticker), a Pin code or Password. The recorded data is directly visible on all Devices: so no matter whether you want to start or view your working or project times, TimeTrack makes it possible with the terminal app.

In the terminal app, you can easily select an employee to access the Hours or Leave Overview. This means that you do not have to log in to the web app to view recorded Minus hours or Overtime. The selected employee’s open Holiday Entitlement and Absence list will also be displayed.
Any absence can be requested directly on the tablet. After defining the Time Period and Type of Absence, the authorized User needs to approve the absence. The Request is sent directly to the responsible employee. As soon as the leave is approved, the Absence is recorded and saved in both the Web App and the User Account in the Terminal App. Simple and fast – exactly how an absence request should be.
Which Tablets are offered with the TimeTrack-Terminal App?
TimeTrack does not offer its own tablets that can be ordered with the terminal app, but we recommend two tablet options that are most suitable for our terminal app. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 is the more affordable option. Secondly, we recommend Zebra CC6000 an industrial tablet with a higher price level.
Does the Terminal App also work with NFC/RFID Tags?
Yes, employees can clock in and out using NFC / RFID tags (keycard, key fob, NFC sticker), their password or pin code. Because Apple doesn’t offer NFC / RFID Tags on iOS Tablets, they are only available on Android Tablets.
Can I use more than one tablet for employees at the same time?
Yes, you can use any number of tablets at the same time. An employee can clock in or out on each of them. You can set this option in our Web App.
Do you offer hardware for the Terminal App as well?
No, we don’t offer that because our Terminal App replaces traditional hardware terminals and you can use it on any Android device.
Is the Terminal App also available for iOS?
Yes! The Terminal App for iOS is available in the App Store!
Do I have to pay for the Terminal App?
The Terminal App is automatically included in the license you purchase from us. This means you do not have to pay extra for it.
Which subscription model includes the Terminal App?
The Time Tracking Terminal App is part of the Standard subscription model, which means it will also be available in the Premium and Gold models.
